TRIP TO BERGEN CONTINUES

We got on the Ship that would take us to Bergan about 3:00 in the afternoon. I have to mention that all this planning on the trip was done by Sangeeta at travel@scandinavianpackages.com.  We basically told her what we wanted and the agency puts it together.  Taxi's are arranged to trasport you from place to place, transportation is all set up from place to place be it train, ship, or plane.  Vouchers for city trasnportation and tours are arranged. Hotel accommodations are arranged.   It's a great way to be on your own but have someone do all the grunt work and they know all the ins and outs.

Our ship again - very comfortable inside, with plugs to charge your "devices" at each seat,a nice concession stand on board, and decks on the front and back of the ship where you could go to take pictures if you liked.

Again, pictures say it all. What a blessing because I'm tired of typing.

The Sognefjorden.  One of the most famous and beautiful fjords.

We'd make stops along the way to pick up or drop people or packages off.

Beautiful, clear water.

A glimpse of Bergen.

As you can read it was a busy day- two trains, a ship, and not a lot of time to eat a good lunch or dinner.  We ate a sandwich on the train and  Sharon had a hot dog and I had a small pizza on the ship.  We arrived in Bergan at about 8:40 pm.  We found it was just a short walk to the Hotel Augustin so we headed in that direction and after arriving decided we'd just head up to the room and settle in for the night.  We've eaten enough on this trip to forego at least one good meal.

Tomorrow we'd hit Bergen.
